The marina takes on a different persona when the sun stays low and the cold winds start to blow. I went to check on “Moments in Time” during the winter solstice. The boats on the hard were whistling in the wind, the sounds of laughter and tinking of drinks from the pool area had long departed, droning of harbor traffic remained eerily silent, and the lapping of waves had become more pronounced. Comprobar periódicamente el estado de nuestra jarcia es imprescindible. El mástil, que está compuesto de simple aluminio, sufre unas cargas terribles por la presión que ejerce el viento en las velas. Esto aumenta cuando viene una racha de viento o al virar el barco. Date cuenta que si se suelta un obenque o un estay, la rotura del mástil y desarboladura del mismo es inminente. Sapevamo che sarebbero arrivati, ma fanno sempre male. Per quanto uno desideri la propria intimità, i propri ritmi, le proprie abitudini, quando si presenta un vuoto cerchiamo in ogni modo di colmarlo. Fa parte di noi, d’altronde. Rifiutare il dolore tanto quanto ricercare i legami. E noi, in questo viaggio durato molto più di un mese e mezzo, abbiamo creato qualcosa di indissolubile. Per quanto sia una cosa passeggera e blablabla, oggi una maglia di questa catena si è sganciata e noi ci sentiamo inevitabilmente meno solidi. ❤️
