The marina takes on a different persona when the sun stays low and the cold winds start to blow. I went to check on “Moments in Time” during the winter solstice. The boats on the hard were whistling in the wind, the sounds of laughter and tinking of drinks from the pool area had long departed, droning of harbor traffic remained eerily silent, and the lapping of waves had become more pronounced. These include Superyacht finishing and sail production for One Design and North Sails 3Di. Gosport is the first loft in the world to specialise in superyacht sails, and it’s gigantic raised floor – measuring 1,950m2 – is the largest ever built. The space is split into two manufacturing bays, and the main floor is designed to cater to superyacht sail finishing.
