The marina takes on a different persona when the sun stays low and the cold winds start to blow. I went to check on “Moments in Time” during the winter solstice. The boats on the hard were whistling in the wind, the sounds of laughter and tinking of drinks from the pool area had long departed, droning of harbor traffic remained eerily silent, and the lapping of waves had become more pronounced. We sailed to Lady Musgrave Island - one of our favourite coral cays at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. 🏝️ Before we could explore, we had to navigate a narrow channel, dodge swirling eddies, and avoid a few coral bombies. Once inside the lagoon, we dropped anchor and jumped straight into our big blue backyard - swimming with sharks and whales, snorkelling the reef 🌊🐋🦈
