Before we bought Adhara and became liveaboards we went on a sailing charter in Lanzarote for a week to try out if we could imagine living on a sailboat and how I’d feel about sailing in general. We did that in November of 2019 and a funny story about it is that I absolutely hated the first day! 😆 I couldn’t imagine why someone would actually enjoy sailing. I was scared, I got wet, I was freezing and I felt seasick for 6 hours straight and had no clue what a sheet is and what wind angle means. Apparent or true wind… wait, what? You guys can’t imagine the disappointment in Jans's eyes when I told him „no way in hell are we doing that“ 😂 Spoiler: the story has a good ending 😉 The second day we had the most beautiful weather and sailed around La Graciosa and Montaña Clara. I fell in love with the otherworldly landscape and raw beauty of these islands and enjoyed the gentle Atlantic swell, the idea of sailing as a means to explore this beautiful world we live on grew on me! The Lagoon 60 has launched in Bordeaux! ▫️ Lagoon's latest sailing catamaran slots in between the 55 and the SIXTY 5. Aft, terraces swing down from the sides of the boat to give you a big platform next to the ocean at anchor.  ▫️ @LagoonCatamarans1984 ▫️ Accessed by a door forward of the saloon, there's a large forward cockpit area and they have designed the flybridge to be their most comfortable yet. It extends forward of the helm to the mast which is stepped further forward compared to previous designs. ▫️ With the mast forward, the saloon is opened up into one big connected space with the aft terraces and forward cockpit.
