Before we bought Adhara and became liveaboards we went on a sailing charter in Lanzarote for a week to try out if we could imagine living on a sailboat and how I’d feel about sailing in general. We did that in November of 2019 and a funny story about it is that I absolutely hated the first day! 😆 I couldn’t imagine why someone would actually enjoy sailing. I was scared, I got wet, I was freezing and I felt seasick for 6 hours straight and had no clue what a sheet is and what wind angle means. Apparent or true wind… wait, what? You guys can’t imagine the disappointment in Jans's eyes when I told him „no way in hell are we doing that“ 😂 Spoiler: the story has a good ending 😉 The second day we had the most beautiful weather and sailed around La Graciosa and Montaña Clara. I fell in love with the otherworldly landscape and raw beauty of these islands and enjoyed the gentle Atlantic swell, the idea of sailing as a means to explore this beautiful world we live on grew on me! Oggi piove, poi sale vento, poi esce il sole. Insomma tutto normale. Dopo un anno torniamo a sperimentare l’autunno 🥲 (si lo sappiamo che è estate fino al 21 settembre). Dal punto di vista lavorativo call su call, lavoro su lavoro. Dal punto di vista esplorativo, abbiamo sperimentato un nuovo locale (hamburgeria) molto buona. Dal punto di vista di fitness, abbiamo tutti male alla schiena perché dopo due calci al pallone siamo pieni di acciacchi. Infine i piani sono ancora incerti. Un’idea è quella di partire sabato mattina e correre fino a Brindisi, un’altra è quella di restare a Crotone fin quando quest’ondata di maltempo non soffia altrove. Come la state vivendo voi?
