The course is for novices and focuses on boating safety, NSW Boating regulations, low speed close quarters handling, navigation and seamanship, docking, an introduction to driving at planing speed and collision regulations. The course runs from 9am - 4pm and includes theory sessions and practical handling / skills work. We make sure you have enough practical boat skills to get your NSW General Boat License. Our vessels have the required safety gear, inflatable lifejackets and spray jackets for your use. Eastsails’ training vessels include: A custom built 8m tender with twin 115hp counter rotating outboard engines. An Arvor Weekender 23’ with an inboard 150hp engine bow thruster. A Haines Hunter 445R runabout with a 50hp 4 stroke outboard engine. Eastsail conducts this course in our classrooms or aboard the boats for practical sessions. We will show you through the 12m (40ft) Riviera 4000 Cruiser to ensure you understand what a larger cruiser looks like, the safety, engineering and interior space. Lunch break is for 30 minutes, food is not included but our marina has a cafe and toilets. A written quiz is given at the end of the day to assess your boating skills. Ya que tiene que pasar toda la masa de aire por un área angosta, tendrá que acelerarse y aumentar su intensidad por ello. Si no conocemos la zona, o no tenemos un plan o estrategia para pasarlo a vela, nos va a costar mucho, ya que nos encontraremos roles de más de 90grados de los bordes al centro del canal. ► In Cape Town, where the largest production center of sailmaker Ullman Sails is now located, we discovered not just one sail-loft floor, but five or six! However, the story didn't begin in South Africa: it was in Newport Beach, California, that David Ullman, at the time aged just 21, built his first sail loft. The year was 1967. 12 years later, a second site was opened in Dallas, and growth continued throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Today, Ullman Sails is represented in 25 countries and has 75 sites. The largest of these is in Cape Town, South Africa, and this is the one we got to visit. There is a staff of 120, and sails of all materials are made here. There's one workshop dedicated to the manufacture of FiberParth membranes. It's also on these floors that the sails for the Leopard range - and many other catamarans built in South Africa - are made. Over the past 30 years, more than 100,000 sails have been produced here!
