This week we skipped our weekly video as we have been busy with home renovations and simply lack of sailing. However, we never miss an opportunity to embrace natures beauty, this time in the form of a common dolphin family swimming by our anchorage. Two of the four adults had younglings with them, who they seem to be teaching. Pretty cool to spot them by your front door ! Nature is awesome and nature needs us as much as we need it ! Perhaps modern technology will and already is able to show us the incredible similarities we all share, the complex social behaviours and interactions, the meaning of family and so much more :) Ps. For one of the biggest festivals in Europe, you can't look past the world-famous electronic fiesta, Ultra Music Festival! For nightlife options, there is the cocktail bar Marineta and for late night takers there is the infamous club "Deep" a natural cave next to the sea which rocks into the wee hours. Day 4 Stari Grad: We sail to the island of Hvar on Tuesday morning. Hvar is the longest island in the Adriatic. We will moor up in the port of Stari Grad. Situated on the northern side of the island, Stari Grad is the oldest town in Croatia and boasts an attractive network of old narrow streets and small squares around the harbour. Day 5 Vis: Vis is one of the most outer islands on the Dalmatian coast. Vis has been used over the centuries as a strategic military port and saw action through WWII against Italy and the Germans. It has only recently been open to commercial tourism and still retains a lot of its charm. Day 6 Hvar: From Vis, we head towards Hvar Town. Famous for its super-yachts and celebrity status. Climb the hill to explore the 16th-century fort ruins overlooking the harbour, before checking out the famous Hvar nightlife, with clubs such as Carpe Diem and Nautica Bar. Day 7 Split: From Hvar, we sail back to Split for the last night. Enjoy the view of the Split Riviera as we arrive into Split late afternoon. Split is a city under UNESCO protection that belongs not only to Croatians, but also to you, as it is a part of its World Heritage status. Day 8 Split: Early breakfast and time to say goodbye to the crew and all your new friends! Disembark from the boat at 9am.
