This week we skipped our weekly video as we have been busy with home renovations and simply lack of sailing. However, we never miss an opportunity to embrace natures beauty, this time in the form of a common dolphin family swimming by our anchorage. Two of the four adults had younglings with them, who they seem to be teaching. Pretty cool to spot them by your front door ! Nature is awesome and nature needs us as much as we need it ! Perhaps modern technology will and already is able to show us the incredible similarities we all share, the complex social behaviours and interactions, the meaning of family and so much more :) Ps. Excitement and anticipation were building in English Harbour, Antigua over the weekend as we counted down to Race Day 1 of the 2019 Oyster Antigua Regatta! Thirty Oyster Yachts have gathered in Antigua this year to enjoy exhilarating sailing and fabulous shoreside parties in one of the world's most outstanding sailing locations. The UNESCO world heritage site Nelson's Dockyard, English Harbour, is a fitting venue for a very special double celebration in true Oyster style. On Sunday 7th April, a welcome celebration was held marking the final chapter of the 2017-2019 Oyster World Rally. The second edition of the 27,000 mile circumnavigation came to conclusion, where it started in the spiritual Caribbean home of Oyster. Following the memorable occasion, the 42nd Oyster Regatta will take place from the 8th to the 12th of April. Care must be taken crossing the Wide Bay Bar at the southern end of Fraser Island. There are directional lights on both Fraser Island and Inskip Point which guide craft across the bar.
