Why this life may not be for you 🙃...blasting our car (dinghy) through a 6ft surf break (Ep. 142)

In this weeks episode we set off for our next stop in Costa Rica, the gorgeous Osa Peninsula. This region is known as one of the most bio diverse areas in the entire world. However our alternator has other ideas. We don't know for sure what the issue is but we open the engine compartment and see the alternator red hot and smoking. We shut down the motor and swap to our spare alternator. Once back underway we are able to get some sail up and race our friend Max on Elixir. Once we arrive to Bahia Drake we set off to explore a river. The guide book states that the entrance is known as one of the best surf breaks in the area and caution is advised. We watched how the local boats crossed the bar in order to figure out how to enter. It's always an adventure!
