When Boat Life Throws a Spanner in the Works … Sailing Whitsunday Island

This week aboard Moor R & R, Episode 12 we’re back in Airlie Beach to restock the boat, give her a good clean, and pick up a few essentials (including our usual stop at Bunnings, of course!). Next, we haul out at Shute Harbour for some maintenance — but it’s definitely not the kind of haul out we’re used to! Boat life throws us another little challenge when our tender battery goes flat, sending us back to Airlie Beach for a quick fix. Once everything’s sorted, it’s time to get back to the good stuff — exploring! We spend a few incredible days at South Molle Island, hiking and biking the 14 km of trails with absolutely stunning views. Then we find our own little piece of paradise — a quiet bay all to ourselves — before heading to Lindeman Island, where we stumble across something truly special: two turtles mating right beside the boat. 🐢💙 It’s been a week full of surprises, challenges, and magical moments — just another chapter in our sailing adventure aboard Moor R & R!
