What it's REALLY like sailing the OPEN OCEAN [ Sailing to Vanuatu ]

Before my first open ocean passage, I didn't know what to expect. Most sailing videos don't show what it's really like sailing the open ocean. I hope this video does a better job of that. Both the joy and the pain... The core of "Family Circus" is Chris (Dad / Captain), Sayo (Mom / Admiral), Aya (First Officer / Deckhand) and Miya (Baby / Stainless Polisher). After many years in business in Vancouver we were tired of life inside the box and wanted to make a change, we just weren't exactly sure what would be next. In July of 2016, when Sayo was six months pregnant, we decided (somewhat at the last minute) to fly to New Caledonia for one last holiday before the baby was born. On this trip we decided to buy "Family Circus", planned to sail her to New Zealand and started an adventure that has changed our lives.
