In Episode 60 of the Sailing Goat Series, we finally leave Preveza after four long weeks of boat work, delays, and setbacks. With everything ready to go, a nice, steady wind carries us toward the famous Lefkada Floating Bridge—but in true boat-life fashion, we arrive just 2 minutes too late. With the bridge closed, we tie up at the public pier and wait out the 2-hour delay for the next opening. Once the bridge opens, we carefully navigate through the treacherous Lefkada Canal, a narrow, shallow stretch that requires full attention at the helm. On the other side, we’re rewarded with beautiful following winds that take us smoothly to Meganisi, where we drop anchor and spend a peaceful night. The next day, we continue south to Nidri, seeking a sheltered spot to weather out the next storm. With the blonde’s parents arriving to visit, she goes ashore to stay with them, while I stay behind to keep an eye on the boat and make sure everything holds through the approaching blow. ⚓ Final Goodbye to Preveza: After a month of projects and setbacks, we're finally underway again.
