Sailing from Lizard Island to the Flinders Group took an unexpected turn. Just as we put the screecher sail out, we had a part of the rigging let go— part of our bowsprit rigging — gave out, forcing us to adapt quickly while underway. But like every good sailing adventure, there’s always a silver lining! We made it safely to the Flinders Group, a stunning and remote collection of islands in Far North Queensland. There, we ventured ashore to explore ancient Aboriginal caves — sacred places covered in rock art that has stood for thousands of years.
