Faking Luxury with our 50 foot salvaged yacht. Yeah that sound about right! HA! Totalboat helped us out HUGE here when we told them we needed to fix our cracked counters in our galley. Not only did they have a 4x8 foot CNC bed, they had all the materials, expertise, and disposables. This is part 1 of our DIY Countertop Epoxy Build. We used a combination of TableTop Epoxy, High Performance Epoxy and Makerpoxy to come up with the final look. Keep in mind we bought her at auction without ever meeting the owner! The owner was sailing along and ran aground - hard. Hard enough that the keel pivoted and pushed the aft end up into the hull. This force cracked the internal grid in several places and broke a portion of the grid free from hull. At some point an inspection was done, insurance was called and decisions were made.
