We reluctantly depart the beautiful Papagayo anchorage for the better sheltered and more urban Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. I also need to put into Las Palmas for water and provisions for the long trip back across the Atlantic. The Port Authority, however, has me jump through a few hoops before granting me permission to anchor at Alcanaveras.
