Next to our downtown anchorage in San Francisco are a couple of old ships that we visit. Then we make it across the windy bay to Sausalito where there's no wind at all and over 30 C! We are a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we moved aboard our sailboat Ran, a custom built Beason 40 in aluminium and untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter in January 2016.
