ABOUT MARGIE Margie describers herself as a writer, artist, schemer, dreamer, portrait photographer, aspiring filmmaker and an obsessed sailor. "Sailing soothes my soul and brings me the greatest solace I have ever known. I have been sailing most of my life, and am always pushing myself to do and learn more on the water." Margie is passionate about inspiring more women to learn to sail and seek adventure through sailing. Margie spent 8 months preparing the boat and herself for the 2016 Transpac to Hawaii. Sadly Haunani was destroyed by the shipping company on her journey home to California following the Transpac. FUTURE SAILING ADVENTURES Margie's current boat is a 2005 Hanse 371 named "Cassiopeia". She is working on more films about women and sailing.
