Just two days after leaving Auckland, the teams have reached the Southern Ocean. Surfing the wake of ex-Cyclone Pam, they’ve been doing 20 knots of average speed, trying to get south before the next high-pressure system catches them. It’s fast, it’s wet, it’s wild.
