On the afternoon of the 28th January 2015, Team Vestas Wind prepared the Vestas Wind for transportation to Persico Marine near Bergamo in Italy. At 00:01 on the 29th, the convoy left the Port of Genoa on the 4+ hour journey to the foothills of the Alps.
