In the midst of leaving the house have you ever remembered at the last minute to bring something but told yourself it wouldn’t be THAT important? Only to find out that you REALLY needed the thing you neglected to spend 2 extra minutes getting? This week I did that. And we had a Family Circus Adventure up a remote river in Vanuatu with a broken down dinghy and no tools to fix it. Find out how we get out of that pickle and then have a great time learning how to make and drink Kava with the villagers in the Maskelyne Islands. The core of "Family Circus" is Chris (Dad / Captain), Sayo (Mom / Admiral), Aya (First Officer / Deckhand) and Miya (Baby / Stainless Polisher). After many years in business in Vancouver we were tired of life inside the box and wanted to make a change, we just weren't exactly sure what would be next. In July of 2016, when Sayo was six months pregnant, we decided (somewhat at the last minute) to fly to New Caledonia for one last holiday before the baby was born. On this trip we decided to buy "Family Circus", planned to sail her to New Zealand and started an adventure that has changed our lives.
