Stainless Steel Anchor Upgrade – Why We’re Making the Switch | EP 204

This week we’re in Hammock Beach Marina, Florida, tackling one of the dirtiest jobs on the boat… the anchor locker 🤢⚓ With a major upgrade underway, we clean out over a year's worth of grime and install our new Rocna MKII stainless steel anchor. There’s one very specific reason we’re switching to stainless! While tied up at the marina, we dive into some deep cleaning of our cockpit lockers (because cruising chaos is very real). Before leaving, we also have the hull scraped, and the difference in speed once we’re back underway is honestly unreal. We then cast off from Hammock Beach Marina and sail south to New Smyrna Beach, continuing our journey down the Florida coast as we move closer and closer to our upcoming Pacific crossing.
