Spring Mediterranean sailing | Ep165

Last week we had some of the bad bits about sailing. the Mediterranean out of season with a massive katabatic blast almost knocking us flat at dawn off the Costa del Sol. This week things were better. On the last stretch to get to Cartagena we had some blue sky sailing and empty anchorages. It's nice to be the only boat on the water. It's also nice to visit Cartagena again. It really is the a gem of a city, it has no beach as it's a massive protective bay that is home to the Spanish navy so it's remained very Spanish without the tackyness of most other heavily touristed seaside towns on the Costas. So we settle in to enjoy the city and the surrounds and meet some very interesting fellow cruisers with an even more interesting boat.
