It would not have been the same without you. This episode was filmed in 01 / 2021. โ Welcome to Untie The Lines! my name is Nike, I bought an aluminum 37 foot sailboat in Panama in 2013 that I named KARL. I spent a good year refitting it, mostly by myself and with the help of awesome friends, and then (mostly) solo sailed my sailboat around the western Caribbean. In 2016, I crossed the Panama Canal, had a major engine break down, a near sinking experience and a serious foot injury which got me stuck along the Pacific coast of Central and South America. In this Episode, I am anchored next to the mouth of River Cacique. A little rain shower seats my plans to Paddel up the river and I share with you what I usually do on rainy days. Baking some fresh buns, doing the dishes, editing videos or crafting some collected beach rope into pretty baskets. Once the rain clears, I jump into my Kajak to explore the Cacique river. My plan is to paddle upstream for 2-3 hours with the rising tide, have some lunch up the river and then float back downstream. A not unexpected but still surprising encounter makes me turn around half way through ๐. But still, it was a great little adventure and a great calm anchorage to hang out in. Enjoy and Ahoy, Nike & Karl
