Sharrow Propeller vs. Standard Props: Showdown on the Detroit Rivier
Can a Sharrow propeller outperform a standard model? We put both to the test on the Detroit River to find out. We conducted a head-to-head boat propeller test using two identical vessels to determine if advanced design features actually translate to real-world gains. With identical engines and loads, we measured performance across the RPM range to provide clear, unbiased performance data for boaters considering an upgrade. Our on-the-water analysis highlights speed differences at 4,000 RPM, where the Sharrow propeller reached 37.3 MPH compared to the 35.8 MPH recorded by the conventional prop. To ensure accurate results, we swapped the hardware between hulls and re-ran the trials, focusing strictly on propeller efficiency to see how these designs impact planing and overall cruising. đ Read the full article and learn more: https://boattest.com/article/showdown-detroit-river Watch all our Sharrow Prop Tests & Reviews: https://boattest.com/articles/sharrow-props âïž Discover Sharrow Marine propeller technology: https://www.sharrowmarine.com Subscribe to BoatTEST for independent performance reviews and let us know in the comments: what prop technology are you using? https://boattest.com/user/register CHAPTERS 0:00 Setting the Stage for a Propeller Showdown 0:47 The Methodology Behind the Side-by-Side Trial 3:06 Analyzing Performance at Cruising Speeds 6:14 Eliminating Bias Through a Propeller Swap *NOTE: AI used on the opening Credit Title Card, and one music track ONLY! đ± Follow Us on Social Media: đhttps://www.instagram.com/boattest_official đ https://www.facebook.com/boattestcom/ đhttps://twitter.com/boattest đ https://www.linkedin.com/company/boattest/ đŒ Website: https://boattest.com/ We love hearing from you!
