San Juan Islands: 3 day, 2 night kayak expedition exploring Pacific Northwest nature and wildlife

Kayaking the San Juan Islands, an archipelago in the Pacific Northwest between Washington state and Vancouver Island of Canada. The large group, also dubbed The Floatilla, consisted of 12 adventurous paddlers. We traveled 3 days and 2 nights by sea kayak, enjoying the nature and wildlife: bald eagles, seals, starfish, crab and deer included. I hoped to film an orca pod but was not successful. We did see offshore spouts on our second night of camping but could not identify the source. I will return next year with a better plan to encounter a pod.
