SALVAGE SAILBOAT - Gutting The Interior! | Expedition Evans 5

We know our Beneteau 49 has a damaged grid. But we don't know how extensive that damage is, yet. This week we DIY our way to removing the interior furniture to see just how broken she is. Turns out the couch and other items really weren't designed to be removed very easily! Hang on as we fight and struggle with our boat to get access to the grid hidden below! Keep in mind we bought her at auction without ever meeting the owner! The owner was sailing along and ran aground - hard. Hard enough that the keel pivoted and pushed the aft end up into the hull. This force cracked the internal grid in several places and broke a portion of the grid free from hull. At some point an inspection was done, insurance was called and decisions were made.
