Sailing to Pokai Bay & A Mysterious Plane Crash At Sea?

Season 8 : Hawaiian Adventures : Episode #214 On this episode we have a change of plans as a weather update shows high winds forecasted for the coming week and we point our bow towards Oahu's westside; Pokai Bay. During the passage I recorded a very ominous VHF call of a fisherman reporting to the Coast Guard that he had just seen a plane lose its wing and spiral down into the sea. I never found out what happened with this even after I searched the internet high and low in the following days. If you have information about this plane crash I would be interested to hear more.
