Sailing to Maratua, a rarely visited Indonesian island

We depart Nunucan for Maratua, a remote Indonesian island in the Celebes Sea. I navigate through miles of netting and some choppy seas and currents. We heave-too overnight offshore in order to sail through a difficult pass in daylight. We scuba dive at some amazing reefs and encounter sharks, eagle rays, a turtle and barracuda tornado! I beach the catamaran on a sandbar to clean the marine growth off the bottom. Ann-Elin tries making pickles for the first time.
