Sailing ORIZON #48 - Syvota Inseln und Paxos

Sailing ORIZON - Segeln im Mittelmeer... Nachdem alle Reparaturen erledigt sind können wir in die Inselwelt vom ionischen Meer eintauchen. Es geht erst mal wieder Richtung Festland, dort sind die hübschen kleinen Syvota Inseln, die wir nicht auslassen wollten. Nach einer ganz ruhigen Nacht vor Ankern mit Heckleine segeln wir nach Paxos rüber und steuern das schöne Lakka mit seinem türkisblauem Wasser im Nordosten der Insel an. Lakka ist im August wie befürchtet knallvoll aber trotzdem eine super schöne Bucht und ein lieblicher Ort. Dann geht's ein paar Seemeilen weiter nach Gaios wo wir nur einen kurzen Stopp machen, weil wir hören, dass Gaios an der Mole richtig teuer geworden ist (25-35€). Das wollen wir uns nicht leisten und gehen für die Nacht in die hübsche Bucht Mongonissi am südlichen Ende von Paxos, in der wir aus Platzgründen wieder mit Landleine festmachen. Paxos und Antipaxos wollen wir nächstes Frühjahr nochmal ausgiebiger besegeln wenn weniger los ist. Am nächsten Morgen setzen wir unseren Törn Richtung Ormos Valtou bei Parga am Festland fort... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ After all repairs are done, we can dive into the island world of the Ionian Sea. First we go back to the mainland, there are the pretty little Syvota Islands, which we didn't want to miss. After a very quiet night at anchor with a stern line, we sail over to Paxos and head for beautiful Lakka with its turquoise blue water in the northeast of the island. Lakka is packed in August, as feared, but still a super beautiful bay and a lovely place. Then it's a few nautical miles to Gaios where we only make a short stop because we hear that Gaios has become really expensive at the pier (25-35 €). We don't want to afford that and go to the pretty bay Mongonissi at the southern end of Paxos for the night, where we moor again with a land line for reasons of space. We want to sail Paxos and Antipaxos more extensively next spring when there is less going on. The next morning we continue our trip towards Ormos Valtou near Parga on the mainland...
