Sailing ALASKA: Fishin' and Fixin' in Sitka, Alaska (Episode 55)

Hey everyone! Here's another exciting episode detailing our 3,000 mile trip through Southeast Alaska on our 37' sailboat, Maya. In this episode, we are on Day 51 and 1300 nautical miles traveled since leaving our homeport of Anacortes, Washington. We start the episode in Sitka, AK (population 8600), where family flies in for 5 days of epic fishing fun- all from the comfort of our goodoldboat, Maya! In the second half of the video, we get down to the business of fixing Maya's compromised rigging. You'll see us go through the process of replacing our forestay, which involves dropping our pro furl roller furler.
