This is a reproduction of the Herreshoff Tech Dinghy as designed by George Owen in 1935. It was built in 1986 by Bruce Malone of Camden, Maine after considerable research and licensing from the MIT Museum. Dimensions are: loa 12'-6, beam 5'-0 Construction is cedar planking on white oak frames, planking fastenings are copper rivets. Thwarts, transom, breasthook, and mast partners are mahogany. Spars are sitka spruce. All hardware is bronze, mostly custom cast to Herreshoff designs. Herreshoff style lever operating the centerboard. The boat was designed to be used with a jib by stepping the mast in the aft location, or without a jib by stepping it in the forward location. These boats are customarily sailed without a jib (the jib is very small, not pictured but is also included, This one owner boat has been lightly used and is in excellent condition. $15k or full partial trades considered, hot rods, muscle& classic cars, Boston Whaler, Macgregor Sailboat, machinary, equipment
