Running Fix: Incorporating Dead Reckoning (DR) Position | Position Fixing Technique

This video is intended for maritime students taking Navigation about chartwork. It shows one of the position fixing techniques known as running fix. Running Fix is a navigational method used to determine a vessel's position when only one line of position or LOP can be obtained at a time. This technique is commonly used when only one navigational aid is available and no other landmarks are available to take simultaneous bearings.
