PNG - Glimpses of Hermit Islands - Manus

On passage for over 1,200nm from the Philippines, our second landing in Papua New Guinea was in the Hermit islands. What a pleasure to meet more friendly people on Maron Island and to walk around the remote inhabited Pemei island. Watch how locals extract the heart of palm, great in salads. Filmed in February 2025.
