Painting the Seahopper boat and getting the 2 stroke motor to start
I spend the whole day restoring the Seahopper and then turn my attention to her little old 2 stroke outboard that doesn't go quite to plan. The outboard is an old Mercury 3.3HP 2 stroke. A classic engine thats so simple and built to last. Compared to my electric outboard its so light so will be a really good engine to also take with me when I start to sea sail the Mirror dinghy. 00:00 Undercoat 1 done 00:33 Tightening and sorting the folding transom 02:24 2nd coat of undercoat is on 03:00 A first look at the outboard 04:48 Trying to start the outboard for the first time 05:46 Making a tiller extension for the Mercury outboard 07:51 Some great news with the outboard
