OUR FIRST OVERNIGHT SAIL! EP. 25

Staying at Browns Marina in Alice Town ended up being a great place to spend the night. We left around 11AM and began our journey towards The Great Bahama Bank. Our plan was to sail all night crossing the 130 miles of calm ocean and arriving near Rum Cay and Chub Cay by morning. This was our first official overnight sail! While in Oregon we fell in love with sailing at night, but never went anywhere or spent a full night out. While crossing The Great Bahama Banks, we made "sailboat pizza" for dinner which was really tasty! It was too dark to film anything once it got dark, but we were very impressed by how bright the stars shone! The sailing was fantastic with us sailing at about 5-6 knots all night! We took turns sleeping for a few hrs at a time which worked out great! We slept at a tiny Island called Rum Cay for a few hrs before heading further East to Chub Cay and Bird Cay where we decided to spend the night.
