Olive harvesting in Lucca

The extra virgin olive oil of our region is known as ‘the Gold of Lucca’. Its extremely healthy nutritional properties and the fabulous taste made this product an excellence of Italy over all the world. And the olive harvest, starting at the end of October, is one of the most important event for our area, even more exciting than the grapes harvest in September. It is a privilege to assist to the harvesting and, why not, to take part to the olive harvest in one of the many farmhouses on our hills
