Follow along as I sail from Tenerife to Cape Verde on a training passage with world famous sailer John Kretchmer. This is real sailing in 20-25 knot downwind conditions in significant seas. Man overboard demonstrations, heaving to, preventer lines, celestial navigation. Great meals served in the dark keep us going for 6 days. This is part one of the trip to Sal Island of Cape Verde.
