This week we leave our sailboat and Monastir marina behind and hit the road to explore more of Tunisia. From the bustling UNESCO-listed Medina of Sousse, to the remarkably quiet ancient Roman city of Thuburbo Majus, we discover some of the country’s incredible history and culture. We also visit the Zaghouan Water Temple, the starting point of the ancient aqueduct that once carried fresh mountain water more than 130km to Carthage, before exploring the colourful streets of Sidi Bou Said. A big road trip through Tunisia, with ancient ruins, local life, beautiful towns and plenty of surprises along the way. Next week, it’s back to KAIA for some serious boat work — engines, winches, the anchor windlass, solar upgrades and more.
