In this episode, (Ep. 4) the little dinghy «Why Not» proves to be a dream to row—but let’s face it, sometimes you just need a bit of extra push. That’s where «René» comes in: a charming 1972 Yamaha outboard motor, bought online for just 500 Norwegian kroner (about 50 dollars). The seller promised a refund if it didn’t work. It didn’t. But instead of sending it back, I decided to take on the challenge. With zero engine knowledge, lots of fiddling, and help from a boat-building expert, I set out to bring the little wonder back to life. Did I succeed?
