Time for a new season of the Mariner, and we kick off first with preparations underway on board Osprey, for a new crew arriving in two weeks, and a late October departure, to Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands. First thing to do though is look back at the Newport Bermuda race that we successfully completed in June/July of 2026. It begins with my arrival in Newport (still with no propeller) and an unexpected requirement to anchor Osprey, solo, with no engine, in Newport harbor, and wait while Sea Tow rescue another boat All Well on Osprey!
