MODERNISING OUR VINTAGE SAILBOAT | Where The F*&k Did We Go? The Final Part

7,401 Visualizzazioni· 04/07/22

It's taken months to get to this point. For those of you that missed us, becoming a Patron enables us to ensure the continuity of Slim & Soph - Sailing Nakama. We've gotta cover the bills somehow and this influenced our decision to take a break from editing in order to finance the repairs. A little goes a long way to keep this production alive. With very little free time between uni and the boat, Patreon enables us to focus on creating and posting videos rather than pouring beers at our local. Thank you for your generosity https://www.patreon.com/sailingnakama Or make a one-off donation as you please if subscriptions aren't your thing. Let's keep ticking nautical miles and boat jobs off! https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=C6M8FAYZ5K2ZS Last week we left you with a saltwater leak after having a new depth transducer installed. This was extremely disappointing and mildly concerning. Of course, we wanted it to be resolved properly and that means we need to be lifted again. So Nakama, after being in the water for 3 days, is now back in the slip for repairs and hopefully this time, the saltwater will stay where it should. We are eager to show you what we have been brewing up in order to bring our 1980s sailboat into the 21st century. We have splurged on lots of new Raymarine instruments to change the way we sail on our old girl. Slowly and surely we piece it all together and after Soph spends 3 days straight on top of the mast, we can say that our 6 months in Airlie Beach for the cyclone season has just about come to a close.
