EP 183: Experiencing our First Hurricane | Meet Living Hakuna We were on alert the whole time for storm Elsa.. which then got moved to the category of a hurricane. Ricky and I were pretty nervous coming from a country that doesn't experience hurricanes at all. We were so pleased to know that it would be passing Grenada which put our nerves at ease. We had put so much effort into Lady Africa the last thing we want is for her to be potentially damaged in a hurricane. We expected to experience some crazy winds but didn't and just had copious amounts of rain which has convinced us to put a rain catchment system (free water is always good) We then got to meet an amazing couple that we get to consider good friends; it's so tough to meet young cruisers who have the same mindset as you so we were so excited that they were just as excited to meet us as we are to meet them.
