Malaysia - Volcanic Mud Bath on Pulau Tiga in Sabah

Off the north coast of Borneo, between Labuan and Kota Kinabalu is Tiga Island, best know as Survivor Island as the first of these TV shows was filmed here a long time ago. Other than 2 small resorts (we did not visit), the island and tiny islets nearby are parts of Sabah Parks. We first explored uninhabited Pulau Kalampanan Besar, a sandy islet, then Pulau Burong, nicknamed Snake Island, a very rocky islet even smaller. We then hiked, on a little maintained trail, from Pagong-Pagong beach to the Volcanic Mud pools on Tiga Island proper. Filmed in September 2018.
