Making a Battery Box for my Drascombe Lugger

298 Bekeken· 13/08/23

If you like boxes, epoxy and a lot of head scratching as I go through the process of building this box, then this is for you!! Who knew that making a watertight box for my battery would be such a challenge!! All the wires, the battery, entry/exit points, lids, shelves!!!. It got quite complicated but I am hoping the end result will be a winner. After making a cardboard mockup, I get on with the real job. Using some 9mm ply I size and make the box and do the first bit of epoxying. I also epoxy my Tippler Pilot stand/block whilst i'm at it I hope you enjoy this video. 00:00 The wood and the measurements 01:33 Cutting the wood 02:25 Checking it all fits together! 07:17 Checking the cables 08:40 Screwing in the blocks 10:20 Fitting the shelf and drilling holes in it 12:56 The lid 13:45 Setting up the workshop for Epoxy 15:00 Epoxying the blocks up 20:48 Epoxying the Tiller Pilot Block ❤️ Comments are open, ask anything you want in the comments section! 📢 If you enjoyed this video, then please don't forget to share and let people know about the channel 🔔 Subscribe to never miss a video: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZVuUVKKtVxulmgL3WzejjQ?sub_confirmation=1
