MacGregor 26M - Sailing beautiful Lake Oahe - PART ONE (1/3)

Part One (days1,2&3 )Sailing travel log of our summer trip to the massive, serene and beautiful Lake Oahe in north central South Dakota amongst the Lakota territories. Winds were calm and light, becoming stronger every day of the trip! This is a wonderful lake, local sailors at Spring Creek Marina were very open, friendly and helpful, even supplying us with charts full of navigation hazards or points of interest. We love the fact that we explore various waters and differing environments with our own sailboat--she's the perfect hybrid vessel for our needs. This lake can be difficult with big water characteristics but we wholeheartedly believe it --worth the journey.
