Looking Through the Glass Window at the Queen's Bath 54 Beau and Brandy Sailing Due to light wind we're unable to sail to the glass window bridge. So we do what people do in Eleuthera to get around, hitchhike! The glass window bridge is a beautiful sight to see. The Caribbean side of Eleuthera is calm and peaceful while the Atlantic side is rough and violent. We picked the perfect time to go, low tide. It allowed us to go under the bridge and get a more up close and personal feel for the two different bodies of water. The glass window bridge was once completely made naturally from coral rock, until a hurricane knocked it into the ocean. It was rebuilt but has subject to damage over the years from other hurricanes. The bridge can be very dangerous during severe weather or rages. Many live have been lost from people being swept away to sea by large waves. There is no coral reef on the Atlantic Ocean side to protect the bridge from large waves that build miles out at sea. Although it can be dangerous at times, it's very beautiful to see the vast contrast between the two waters. Before it got too late in the day, we headed over to the Queen's baths just south of the bridge. The baths are limestone pools that have been carved out from the Atlantic ocean over many many years. Sea life can be found in the baths. The baths closest to the crashing waves get filled up often and tend to be cooler than the baths further up that bake in the sun. It's a busy place, lots of people come and go but few stay more than 20 minutes, unlike us. We were there for a few hours. It was so pretty there we didn't want to leave. We got a ride in the back of a pickup truck to get back to Saoirse. Then we took Oona on a long walk across town to a large secluded beach. We had a picture perfect sunset to end the day. big love, beau, brandy, and our salty dog, oona patreon: https://www.patreon.com/beauandbrandy facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sailingsaoirse instagram: https://www.instagram.com/beauandbrandy music: A Warm Embrace - Gavin Luke Be Right There - oomiee Flippa Club - Homebody Never Say No 2 - Peter Sandberg When You've Found Home (Instrumental Version) - RIL SMRT Love For The Ocean - Martin Hall
