Laura Dekker sailing her MiniCat 420 'Laura Dekker Edition' in the Caribbean

Laura Dekker, the youngest sailor ever to solo-circumnavigate the world, has been a MiniCat Ambassador for many years. Laura first sailed a borrowed MiniCat (M310) in Bora Bora whilkst on her voyage aged just 15. She soon had her own MiniCat on board her ketch as she continued her journey, happily having fun whenever at anchor. These days Laura and her partner Sander run the Laura Dekker World Sailing Foundation taking groups of youngsters on epic voyages, whilst teaching them life-skills and of course sailing skills. LDWSF have two MiniCats on board their boat Guppy and they are hugely popular with the crew being sailed and loved whenever there's an opportunity.
