Just as a cliche it’s always something we found out at the last minute our outboard has some serious problems. Outboard problem might not sound very bad at first glance but remember our dinghy is our car, and BE FREE is our house. When transiting the canal and entering the Pacific Ocean we really need our beloved Yamaha to work. We need to do shopping and lots of things before setting sail towards Polynesia. So staying at anchor at the Pacific side requires a functional dinghy and outboard. In a way it’s better to face this now instead of later at an remote atoll in the Pacific. Only the timing was a bit challenging only hours away from our scheduled canal transit. So another challenge was the last thing needed right now. Still we managed to celebrate my birthday and again the Swedish scandihooligans entered BE FREE. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING AND SUBSCRIBING! Most of the time I sail singlehanded but occasionally I do have sailing friends onboard. Still in the Caribbean due to Covid and was supposed to be in Asia by now. Even though this is season 5 on youtube I did not make that many videos in the beginning. Before full-time sailing, I have sailed several seasons in the Med prior to this, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I have been traveling the world before and have also been an active regatta sailor. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and have been sailing ever since. Also, more than 10 years of experience in Search and Rescue at sea in Norway. PLEASE BE KIND IN THE COMMENTS! I'm just a normal person sharing my travel adventure through my eyes and experience from my perspective! Remember how I do things that might work for me but not for you. It might even not be the correct way to do things, and I don't have the blueprint either. I'm not perfect and nobody is. The day I believe I know it all and don't think I can learn new things I should go ashore.
