Happy Dufour 530 Owners: Second Boat Purchase with ACY Yachts

Hear from owners Amy and Jay Panzarella who purchase their second yacht with ACY Yachts: a Dufour 530. I'm Amy and I'm Jay and we bought our beautiful Dufour 530 from ACY. We were talking about getting a bigger more comfortable boat since we plan to spend more time on our boat. This is the second boat that we have purchased from ACY. It's a very good boat for what we want. We were looking for a little more space on a boat, very nice to handle, something we can take friends and family out on. I looked at a number of boats and was familiar with boats and this Dufour has just been wonderful. For a monohull like this, it handles fantastically. I've been sailing my whole life so it wasn't a matter of trying it out and then figuring out if you want to have your own boat - I chartered with ACY and took an ASA course with them and it was a very good experience. I was familiar with them before we purchased the boat. Once we committed to the boat, ACY's team was right there. That day, immediately we met with Ken Krasko, Jevon, and Mike. They know the boat and anticipate issues and were able to help us through what we wanted to add. Ken was able to guide us through the process smoothly. Communication was excellent. It's obvious they all work well together which is important. It's a true team and it's been wonderful. You buy a boat and there are things that will go wrong like with any new product, if you are not on the boat all the time you will not see all of these things. The charter arrangement has helped that because we were able to see what needed to be fixed. The beauty of it is: ACY is there and they're on top of it. No matter what it is: lights, hook up, mechanical, someone is there and on top of it. You get a report and you don't have to worry about it. It's been a fantastic relationship.
