E43 Summer Daze Vlog of Life in a Nutshell narrowboat travels. A day spent checking out the historic sights and buildings of the old Roman city of Leicester. We took a look at the Guildhall with its macabre history, cells and civic rooms. An ale at the oldest pub in Leicester, the Globe, where we found out that it was haunted and that laughter is often heard in the cellar. A gentle jaunt through the town to discover the large covered market place which was slightly eerie on a quiet Sunday. Then back to our lovely gated mooring at Castle Gardens.
