We finally turn south and commit to the big decision — crossing the Pacific 🌊 With a huge passage ahead of us, it’s time to stop procrastinating and start ticking off the long job list. In this video, we head into Hammock Beach Marina for a few nights to give Escapade some much-needed TLC. From deep cleaning and bleaching our canvas, whitening the gel coat on the sugar scoop, and repairing worn canvas, to installing new stainless steel to reinforce our solar panels on the existing solar arch — it’s all hands on deck. We also finally get our depth transducer and chart plotter compass reading sorted, which has been a long time coming. Despite a few unexpected setbacks, it feels amazing to make real progress and start preparing Escapade properly for what lies ahead. The Pacific is calling, and we’re getting ready to answer.
